This Gourmet Lip lickin’ Island BBQ Sauce is derived from an old jamaican recipe reminiscent of our long and diverse heritage. Since 1992, Dawn Gonsalves was always trying to improve on that old jamaican recipe. As an artist she was always trying to enhance the taste, look and the aroma of the sauce with the right combination of peppers, herbs, spices and sweetness, and also very important, the final presentation of the sauce on the meat emphasizing the herbs and spices in the bbq glaze. The flavors include mixtures of spicy scotch bonnet peppers, the rich complexity of slowly stewed tomatoes, the intense herbs and spices of Jamaica, and the cool sweetness of molasses infused brown sugar giving this barbeque sauce a bold, sweet  flavor that will make you lick your lips!  The result is robust and amazing! Finally, she hit on a revised recipe that every one loves. A special gourmet bbq sauce that is bold and beautiful and will compliment any beef, poultry, pork, seafood or vegetable dish.
